Wow, I truly have to say that I am overwhelmed with the response to our club. There are 38 and counting, and I praise that Lord for everyone of you. Remember our purpose: “I am willing to befriend, with the love of Christ, To make it even easier to remember let's make the day that we undertake at least one random act of kindness. That would make it a Good Friday. Do something Good this Friday.
those whom God loves and has chosen, no matter what the cost.”
As members of the “Barnabas Club” you are encouraged, to do a kind deed, at least once a week, for someone else, for absolutely no personal gain whatsoever. Undertake a “Random Act of Kindness” (RAoK) on a weekly basis... maybe it’s paying for the cup of tea that the person in the line in front of you has just ordered at Tim Horton’s... maybe it’s offering to carry an someones shopping... maybe it’s as simple as holding a door open for someone.

Hypocritical is when you pretend to be something you are not. Admitting that you can't help yourself, is being honest. Many of us struggle with things that we cannot overcome. If we all wait until we have it all together we will never help anybody. Next I sometimes think that we think helping is only "big things". But Jesus said: "I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward." Mark 9:41
That is a pretty small thing to do for someone else. yet Jesus said, if we do it, we will "certainly not lose our reward." WOW!!
Next I believe, that in helping others we help ourselves. We feel better, and the blessing of God is on us. Begin SMALL, ask God to help you. Be KIND, say positive things, and trust God to take what you give Him, and use it. A little boy had only a small lunch, but in the hands of Jesus, it fed thousands of people. We under estimate what God can do in and through each on of us. Even the most unlikely.
God bless you, and let me know how it works out. I am praying for you.

This was in the context of "feeding the hungry, giving a drink to the thirsty, clothing the needy, welcoming a stranger, visiting the sick and those in prison." vs. 41-44. This are all just "Random Acts of Kindness" that we intentional do for others.
